Situated within the delightful historic market town of Alnwick, and in the very heart of the fabulous Northumberland countryside, our newly built 86 bedroomed care home is ideally located for all local services and amenities. The town of Alnwick is also famous for the internationally known visitor sites of Alnwick Castle, Alnwick Gardens including its remarkable Treehouse, and for the long and stunning Heritage coastline only a very short car journey away. Our home provides luxurious facilities for all of our residents within a spacious, modern, and welcoming environment presented over 4 floors, with 2 passenger lifts available for ease of movement. Bedrooms have mobility aids where required, and the home also has full wheelchair access throughout. Located at a prominent corner position on Lisburn Terrace, Beech Tree House provides for residential, general nursing, dementia, dementia nursing, and respite care needs, as well as for Young Physically Disabled (YPD), Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) and Bariatric care. The home has been designed and purpose built to cater for all of our resident’s day to day needs, with care delivered in a manner that supports their individual privacy and dignity. The internal designs of the home also draw upon the significant history and heritage of Alnwick, its countryside and rural areas, and the many castles that the county of Northumberland is well known for. Each of our spacious bedrooms include full en-suite facilities, and are also equipped with specialist beds, high quality bespoke fitted furniture, LCD televisions, and free and unlimited internet access. For the wellbeing of our residents we have included within each bedroom the emergency Telecare call system, together with an effective lighting system to ease movement within the room at any time of the day or night. We also believe in giving each resident plenty of scope to individualise their room to help make it look and feel as their own. In doing so this helps to make Beech Tree House their home. Many of our bedrooms provide for amazing views over the town of Alnwick, of Alnwick Castle, and of the surrounding countryside helping our residents to really feel part of the local community. The home is designed to enable residents the space to freely move around the home, along with landscaped garden areas and 4 fantastic outdoor terraced areas of varying sizes so that residents have as much opportunity as possible to enjoy outdoor living. The home also provides plenty of open and spacious communal areas on each floor for use by our residents, as well as by their families and guests. These include a café, TV lounges, dining rooms (two with direct access onto large outdoor terraces), multi-function activity and games rooms, cinema rooms, as well as quiet rooms for reading or general relaxation. The home also includes a hair dressing salon. Activity programmes are a cornerstone of our holistic approach to care and we encourage each resident to participate whenever that’s possible for them. The home’s own activities co-ordinator ensures that there is always a full and varied programme of activities to help support the resident’s lives within a fun and homely environment. Our menus are carefully planned with all food cooked within the home. Ingredients are, where ever possible, sourced locally, and are prepared in a way to ensure they are nutritional, balanced and varied. A resident’s personal choice is also catered for. Social care is one of our main priorities. Our focus is on providing an engaging, stimulating, friendly and social environment. Beech Tree House has been designed with inspiration from Stirling University who are renowned experts in the field of social care and dementia. Our team of staff are the key to the delivery of these high standards of care at Beech Tree House. As a care group we encourage and support the personal and professional development of our staff to equip them with the skills required to deliver the very best levels of person centred care. The Group’s full time Training Manager ensures each member of staff completes the necessary sector standards and qualifications required to meet the highest levels of care that we want all of our residents to benefit from.
